This is part of a bigger effort by FEMA which is giving $300 million in total. Even though California’s share is 18% less than last year it’s still $3 million more with a lot going to San Diego County and the Catholic Charities Diocese of San Diego. The money is meant to help with humanitarian efforts because more migrants are coming to California and groups like Jewish Family Service of San Diego are happy about it.
