Father Arrested in Connection with Burning Car Incident Involving 9-Year-Old Son Outside Sayreville High School

In a heartbreaking tale, Manuel Rivera, 43, was arrested on suspicion of setting his 9-year-old son’s automobile on fire. Everything took place outside Sayreville High School late at night. Simultaneously, a call was placed to 911 by someone reporting that they had a fight with Rivera, who had left with their son. After discovering that Rivera had burns, the police took him to the hospital. We don’t know much more about what happened, but they also discovered a child’s body inside the burning automobile.

Rivera Charged with Arson as Investigation Unravels Tragic Incident Involving Son’s Death

According to the authorities, Rivera intentionally set fire to his car by dousing it in gasoline. This resulted in the horrifying finding of the child’s body within. Rivera was charged with second-degree arson, a serious offense. Depending on the results of the inquiry, additional charges may be brought down the road. Woodrow Wilson Elementary School was the boy’s school. Everyone is having a very difficult time, especially since schools are currently closed for spring break. Individuals are attempting to make sense of what transpired and deal with the death of a young life.
