Homeschoolers and Public School Representatives Divided
According to the report of THE BUSINESS JOURNAL, in Missouri there a big argument happening about a new education bill. This bill wants to make the MOScholars Program bigger which helps kids with scholarships. But not everyone is happy about it. Homeschooling families and people who work for public schools are fighting against it. Even though the Senate added some good things like more money for public schools and helping teachers homeschooling families and public school workers still do like it.

Concerns Mount Among Homeschoolers as Missouri Debates MOScholars Expansion
Homeschooling families are worried. They don’t want to join the MOScholars Program because they think it might hurt their freedom to teach their kids at home. Even though the bill sponsor tried to make a special group for homeschoolers called Family Paced Education homeschooling families are still afraid of future rules and oversight. Public school workers are also not happy. They worried about money and losing control over public schools if MOScholars gets bigger. Even though people tried to talk and make deals the fight is still going strong. The House committee decide on the bill yet and they won until Tuesday.
