About 34,900 people in Michigan are owed refunds totaling a huge $38,274,800. The head of the IRS Danny Werfel stressed how urgent its saying time is running out for people who might have forgotten about their refunds. This year the deadline for filing returns has been pushed to May 17 which gives Michigan residents more time to get their money back especially with all the challenges from COVID-19.
