Wisconsin’s New Bill: Up to $3,500 for One Dependent, More for Multiple Dependents

In 2024, several states across the United States are extending additional child tax credit relief to families, providing much-needed financial support. Minnesota, California, and Wisconsin are among these states, offering substantial assistance beyond the federal benefits. For instance, Minnesota’s state leaders project an average child tax credit of $1,750 per qualifying child, aiming to alleviate financial burdens for approximately 300,000 residents. Similarly, California targets families earning less than $25,000, offering up to $1,000 per child under age 6, while Wisconsin introduces a new bill allowing families to receive between $2,000 and $3,500 for one qualifying dependent, and even more for two or more dependents.
