Jason Owens’ Say On The Recent Border Issues

Jason Owens, the acting head of U.S. Customs and Border Protection, said that the high number of people entering the U.S. is mainly because of cartels.

Jason Owens believes that cartels are influencing the rules and regulations at the southern border.

Jason Owens, who has worked in Border Patrol for over 25 years, became head of the agency in June 2023.

Jason Owens is also advocating for stricter immigration policies, including jail time and deportation, for those who enter the country illegally.

Migrants’ Unknown Risks To The Country

The Border Patrol is close to reaching one million apprehensions this fiscal year, with concerns about the 140,000 migrants who have entered undetected since October.

Jason Owens emphasized the importance of border security in national security and noted that illegal migrants are being smuggled into the country by cartels.

Jason Owens also called for harsher immigration policies while also acknowledging that many migrants are good people looking for a better life.
