A murder suspect in south Los Angeles near Gardena led police on a chase before barricading himself in a building.

The SWAT team was called in, and the murder suspect was arrested after a standoff.

Authorities set up a perimeter and shut off traffic to the area just to catch the murder suspect.

The murder suspect was wanted in connection with a murder.

According to a published article by Patch, details about the crime and the murder suspect’s identity were still being gathered.

Another Murder Suspects’ Case

In a published article by ABC News, Diego Ibarra was arrested for giving authorities a fake green card and is allegedly linked to the murder of Laken Riley on the University of Georgia campus.

He entered the country illegally, got in a fight with Border Patrol agents, then cut off his ankle monitor and ran away.

Diego Ibarra resisted arrest by grabbing a CBP radio and attempting to bite an agent. He is allegedly a member of the Venezuelan gang Teen de Aragua (TdA) and has a history of criminal activity, including DUI and shoplifting arrests.

Ibarra cut off his ankle monitor while on an alternative to detention and has tattoos indicating gang affiliation. Members of TdA have been involved in violent confrontations in the US.

He was released on a plea deal and law enforcement agencies have reported a heavy presence of TdA members in several states, including Texas, New York, and Illinois.

Ibarra also has a history with law enforcement in Georgia. Lawyers for Ibarra did not respond to requests for comment.
