Akron Attempted Robbery Ends in Fatal Shooting

Fatal Shooting During Alleged Robbery

An incident happened on 19th Street S.W., reported by News 5 Cleveland. According to the Akron Police Department, a confrontation occurred when two individuals attempted to rob a residence in the area. However, the intended victim of the robbery was able to defend himself and fired multiple shots at the robbers.

The 19-year-old robber was pronounced dead by the law enforcement officers. The young robber was lying in the driveway.  The other robber, 22 years old, escaped from the scene but showed up later at an Akron hospital, says an Akron Police.

Two individuals, aged 19 and 22, attempted to rob a residence in the 2100 block of 19th Street S.W. The unfortunate would-be robbers held their handguns to scare the intended victim. But the intended victim was able to fire at the two robbers.

Investigation is still ongoing according to the Akron Police Department. The police officers also asked everyone who has information about the incident to feel free to call them at 330-375-2490 or 330-375-2Tip.
