According to WRWH, Ninth District Opportunity, Inc. is starting a program called Home Cooling Help. It’s for old and sick people who live in White and other Ninth District counties. The $8.5M aid for elderly & homebound begins on April 1st. It gives money one time to help with the cost of keeping homes cool. The money goes directly to the companies that provide energy for homes. To be eligible for the $8.5M aid for elderly & homebound the total income of everyone in the household is considered.

Starting at 8:30 A.M. on April 1st eligible individuals can contact Ninth District Opportunity, Inc. to join the Home Cooling Help program. They can call 855-636-3108 or visit https://ndo.appointment.works/ea. Appointments are only available starting April 1st and walk-ins are not accepted. Appointments will be scheduled until all program funds are used up.
