6 Of 10 Most Dangerous Cities Are In The South

According to RoadSnacks, the top 10 most dangerous cities in America for 2024 are Lumberton, NC, Berkeley, MO, Wadesboro, NC, Dillon, SC, Atlantic City, NJ, Monroe, LA, Fife, WA, Commerce, CA, Bessemer, AL, and Hartsville, SC. RoadSnack defined “small city” as having a population between 5,000 and 50,000 and ranked it based on violet crime and property crime per Capita.

It turned out that 6 of the most dangerous cities are in the south with Lumberton as the most dangerous small city. According to the report, Iron Mountain, MI, is the safest small city.

How Did RoadSnacks Came Up With The Report?

This is not the first ranking of most dangerous small city in America that RoadSnacks reported but this is the tenth and updated report. There’s no need to go nuts because their article is meant to be an infotainment though they used facts from the FBI Crime data and Saturday Night Science.

According to their definition of “small city”, they ranked 2,699 US cities according to violent crime and property crime per capita. The averaged rankings created the “Crime Index” which they have reported.
