Found Dead: Missing Fiancée of an Oregon Man

Abandoned in a pile of snow, was Jeannie Enyeart’s body. She was reported missing since late January 2024. The autopsy of her corpse leads to the arrest of her fiancée.

Woman found dead in her car trapped under a pile of snow

Jennie Enyeart, a forty-seven-year-old woman, was last seen by neighbors on January 27, 2024. She was reported missing and endangered to the Portland Police Bureau. The Skamania County officials located her car, and two days later, crashed under a pile of snow. The police officials said that the car seemed to be unoccupied and that there was reason to be worried about Enyeart’s well-being.

Skamania County officials worked alongside the Portland Police Bureau to search around the area of the crashed car looking for Enyeart. She was later found in her car, underneath a blanket, dead, by the investigators.

Enyeart died from homicidal violence, according to the medical examiner.

Dead Woman’s Fiancée Arrested

Jeannie Enyeart broke up not long ago with her then fiancée, Jon French. She was getting ready to move out when she disappeared. Relatives of Enyeart told KOIN-TV that French posted a status on his Facebook saying, “Please help find my soon to be wife” and “Heading over to the house to talk to the detective and hand them my phones. Please come home.”

However, French’s belongings which include his wallet, were found on the driver’s side floor in Enyeart’s car. A blanket covered her corpse inside the car, as reported in court documents cited by KOIN-TV.

French was taken into custody by the detectives, charging him of second-degree murder and abuse to the corpse of Enyeart.
