Orange Court Burglary Attempt Sparks Community Vigilance: Hillsborough Police Seek Public Assistance

In a quiet neighborhood called Orange Court in Hillsborough, there was a scary incident when someone tried to break into a house on February 10th. A person dressed in black and wearing a mask got into a house around 6:07 PM but ran away when they saw someone was home. The police got there super fast, in under two minutes, and even brought drones to help find the person. But the intruder had already left the area.

The police officers from Hillsborough, along with those from San Mateo, Burlingame, and San Bruno, worked together to search the neighborhood. They set up a perimeter around the house, making sure nobody could get in or out without them knowing.

They also asked people in the community for help. They wanted to know if anyone had seen anything suspicious around Orange Court lately.

Lieutenant Melissa Colla, who works for the Hillsborough Police Department, asked the community to help. She said if anyone had seen anything strange, like weird people or cars around Orange Court, they should call the police right away. The police really wanted to solve this case and keep everyone safe. They even gave out their phone number, 1-650-375-7470, so people could call with any information.
