Earn Up to $3,000 with Philadelphia's School Transport Program!

Families in Philadelphia have the chance to earn extra money through a program offered by the School District. This initiative provides parents with payments of up to $3,000 for driving their children to school. Parents who opt out of using the District’s transportation services and instead choose to transport their kids themselves are eligible for monthly payments of $300 or a lump sum of $3,000 for the entire school year. Even if parents can’t manage both trips to and from school, they could still receive $150 monthly or $1,500 yearly for either the morning or afternoon trip.

Check Eligibility and Join School Transport Program Today!

Although the application deadline for the 2023-24 school year has passed, parents might still qualify. They can inquire about eligibility by contacting the school’s transportation representative and submitting a Transportation Action Request (TAR) to join the program. Upon qualification, participants will start receiving payments in the same month they submit the TAR.

Eligibility for the program varies depending on the school and the student. Students residing in Philadelphia and living at least 1.5 miles away from the school could be eligible, along with those in grades 1st through 5th. Designated schools with students facing hazardous routes, those with Individualized Education Plans (IEP) for transportation, and schools receiving District-provided busing services are also included. Families who choose school selection options typically do not qualify for busing services.

Maximize Benefits: Ensure Timely Payments and Explore Additional Options with School Transport Program

To make sure payments arrive on time, parents must accurately input the Student Transportation ID on the Monthly Payment Form. Payments occur monthly from September through June, with each household receiving one check per month, regardless of the number of children transported. However, it might take up to 60 days after the month ends to receive the first payment.

Moreover, there are alternative payment options accessible to qualifying individuals in the United States, such as a unique credit opportunity and another payment valued at $1,750. There’s no restriction on the number of claims that can be submitted.
