Residents in Harris County, Texas will have the chance to claim $500 in monthly payments for 18 months as part of the “Uplift Harris” program.

A guaranteed income program is one of the sources of extra money for low-income households in the country. This allows them to buy what they like under the Uplift Harris program. Those who qualify will receive $500 monthly payments for 18 months.

In a published article in The U.S. Sun, residents can now submit their application through https://uplift.harriscountytx.gov/. Officials said that around 1,900 families can benefit, and their first round of checks will be sent out this March.

How to Qualify?

According to an article published in KHOU, residents need to meet the criteria for eligibility. Applicants must be residents of the following zip-codes:

• 77060
• 77028
• 77033
• 77026
• 77081
• 77547
• 77091

Second, income must fall below 200% of the Federal Poverty Line for your household size. Additionally, for a family of four that is up to $60,000 a year. Lastly, applicants must be 18 years old and above.

Furthermore, the country officials advised that those who will not qualify may apply to another guaranteed income program in the area where they belong. They need to visit the official website of their county.
