Application Begins For $500 a Month For Residents in California, Here are the Criteria

$500 a Month for Californians

Millions of Americans are looking for extra money to meet their needs and one of this is by applying through a guaranteed income program. Eligible residents in Long Beach, California will receive $500 a month for 12 months if meet the two criteria.

In a published article in The U.S. Sun, the application for this new guaranteed income program is already open and it will close on January 24. Around 200 families will be selected, and those who will qualify will receive their first payment this spring.

Two Criteria for Guaranteed Income Program

According to a published article in KTLA5, there are two criteria that applicants need to meet and these are the following:

• Your household must have dependent children and a gross household income (before taxes) of 100% or less of the federal poverty level.
• Secondly, you must reside in one of the following zip codes:
  • 90802
  • 90804
  • 90805
  • 90806
  • 90810

Moreover, the source of funds in this new guaranteed income program is from the Long Beach Recovery Act which provides money to the residents after the pandemic.

Mayor Rex Richardson said, We’re giving vulnerable families in our city direct financial support that will help them pay for needs like housing, bills, groceries, and emergencies. That can make a big difference in helping folks stay afloat throughout the new year.”
