Vin Diesel Faces Allegations of Sexual Abuse in 2010 Lawsuit

Diesel was accused of sexually abusing Jonasson in an Atlanta hotel in 2010 in the lawsuit filed Thursday. Sexual battery, hostile work environment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and discrimination are among the suit’s claims. Diesel’s attorney, Bryan Freedman, strongly disputes the charges, citing convincing proof that Diesel was unaware of this 13-year-old complaint.

When employed by One Race in September 2010 to work directly for Diesel, Jonasson was a decade-experienced TV and film professional, according to the lawsuit. She organized parties and accompanied Diesel to social gatherings without his long-term girlfriend. Diesel explained this agreement as cover if he was captured with another woman, according to the suit.

Diesel went to his hotel suite with hostesses, a security officer, and Jonasson in September 2010 after partying at a club, according to the lawsuit. Diesel allegedly grabbed Jonasson’s wrists and pulled her into the bed when she entered the bedroom to tell him to leave. Diesel additionally grabbed, kissed, and groped Jonasson to undress her and engage in indecent behavior, according to the suit.

Former Assistant Wants Justice

Jonasson left the room out of fear for her safety and employment, but Diesel’s sister, One Race’s president, fired her, according to the lawsuit. The lawsuit also says that a few days before the alleged assault, another One Race supervisor called Jonasson to a hotel bedroom, took his shirt off, and encouraged her to join him on the bed, leading her to leave.

The lawsuit states that Me Too-inspired Jonasson wants a jury trial and damages. It alleges that Jonasson was forced to sign an NDA prohibiting her from discussing Diesel but claims that the Speak Out Act protects sexual assault victims even with NDAs.

Jonasson’s attorney, Claire-Lise Y. Kutlay, expressed concern about the shocking incidents and hoped the case would improve the film industry’s sexual harassment and assaults by powerful people. The lawsuit highlights industry sexual misbehavior and seeks accountability.
