Authorities say that the mother and her three children who were found dead in a burning home in rural southeast Indiana on Tuesday had been shot.
Tragic Discovery: The Unfolding of a Heartbreaking Incident
In rural southeast Indiana, a terrible event has shocked the town. A woman named Naomi Briner, 35, and her three children, Adelia (12), Leland (8), and Iyla (6) were found in a house that was on fire. Authorities stated that they both died from gunshot wounds, which was a terrible end to their lives.
Around 4 p.m. on Tuesday, firefighters made the heartbreaking finding at the family’s home in the 1600 block of East Telegraph Hill Road, just outside of Madison according to a press statement issued by the authorities.
When emergency services got to the scene, they saw the horrifying sight of the house on fire. Even though many people tried to save the victims, they were sadly declared dead at the scene. The bodies of the four people were found behind the burned-out front of the house, which led to a quick and thorough reaction from police and firefighters.
