GOP Investigations Threaten Hunter Biden with Contempt for Subpoena Snub

Hunter Biden may be charged with contempt of Congress for disobeying the subpoena. The GOP Oversight and Judiciary Committee leaders’ contempt request date is uncertain. Hunter Biden briefly attacked GOP senators for a year of outside Senate interrogation of him and his father. He apologized and promised to end biased, evidence-based investigations.

Hunter Biden told an Oversight Committee public meeting he would answer “legitimate questions” and accused GOP leaders of twisting facts in his business affairs investigation. He said his father, President Biden, did not support his legal career, Burisma board seat, Chinese business connections, or art company. Hunter confessed to drug use and financial misdeeds but contested his father’s impeachment.

Republicans in the investigation were accused of lying. Biden comprehended Hunter’s statements, according to Karine Jean-Pierre.
