45 Minutes High-Speed Chase in the Bay Area! Aerial Help,  Spike Strip Deployed resulted in 5 Arrests

A high-speed chase lasting 45 minutes occurred in the Bay Area. Assistance from the air was provided and able to capture the high-speed chase and provide support from the California Highway Patrol (CHP)

Traveling at above 120 miles per hour, the H30 crew approached the Oakland Bay Bridge and provided aid to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).

As the authorities observed the situation from an elevated position, the ground units retreated from the area and strategically positioned spike strips. The suspect’s vehicle ultimately encountered these spike strips, leading to the destruction of numerous tires.

2 Minors in High-Speed Chase, Driver Arrested on Suspicion For Felony Evading Police

Three people were in the car, including two minors. The driver was arrested on suspicion of felony evading police and the 2 minors taken into custody. Notably, the car in question was not reported stolen.

No injuries have been recorded, and the investigation is currently being handled by CHP Contra Costa.
