Millions of Americans start receiving one-time payments from the government that aim to provide relief from the rising prices or the increasing inflation rate.
One-Time Payment
The federal government has released three different rounds of stimulus checks since the pandemic began. It helped to combat the financial challenges of low-income households and those who lost their jobs. Today, millions of Americans are looking forward to another stimulus check.
In a published article in MARCA, the California Franchise Tax Board released the Middle Class Tax Refund that benefited 32 million Californians and their dependents. It aimed to provide relief to the Californians amidst the rising prices or increasing inflation rate.

Are You Eligible?
Not everyone are eligible for the Middle Class Tax Refund, the California Franchise Tax Board has set the following to become eligible:
- You filed your 2020 tax return by October 15, 2021.
- You meet the California adjusted gross income (CA AGI) limits.
- Were not eligible to be claimed as a dependent in the 2020 tax year
- Was a California resident for six months or more of tax year 2020.
- Is a California resident on the date the payment is issued.
Furthermore, the California Franchise Tax Board has clarified that some of the payment have been released, while some will be issued after a review.
