Tragic Incident in Alabama: Sheriff Reports Family’s Pet ‘Wolf-Hybrid’ Fatally Attacks 3-Month-Old Boy

Authorities reported that a 3-month-old infant died while trying to save his parents from the household pet, a mixed animal that was mostly wolf and partially dog.

When the first responders arrived, just before 1 p.m., the youngster had been bitten but was still alive. At the Chelsea residence on Thursday. According to press sources, he was taken to Grandview Medical Center and later declared dead.

According to the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office, the “wolf hybrid” was put to death and brought to the Alabama State Diagnostics Laboratory in Auburn for additional testing.

The family’s pet is a cross between a dog and a wolf.

According to Shelby County Coroner Lina Evans, the family and investigators are aware of the dog’s ancestry and have verified the presence of wolves in that bloodline.

A lengthy internet advisory from the International Wolf Center advises against bringing such hybrids into homes with children.

According to the organization, “people who own hybrids often find that their pet’s behavior makes it a challenge to care for” as a result of its genetic composition, which causes inconsistent and unexpected behavior that puts human safety in danger.

Tony Picklesimer, the mayor of Chelsea, announced the infant’s death and stated that it was caused by an “exotic family pet.”

“It’s inconceivable,” Picklesimer said. How can you ever go past that?”
