November Disbursement of New Mexico SNAP Benefits: Guidelines and Details

According to source, in four days, New Mexico SNAP benefits will be disbursed for November to qualified low-income residents participating in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program. The state’s distribution of New Mexico SNAP benefits occurs between the first and 20th of each month, with the specific day determined by the last two digits of recipients’ Social Security numbers. Recipients with numbers ending in 18, 38, 58, 78, or 98 were scheduled to collect New Mexico SNAP benefits on Wednesday, following a predetermined schedule.

New Mexico SNAP benefits are loaded monthly onto an electronic benefit transfer card, functioning like a debit card for eligible grocery purchases, covering items such as bread, dairy products, meat, poultry, and select beverages. Notably, New Mexico SNAP benefits cannot be used for pet food, alcohol, or household items like soap and paper products.

The amount of New Mexico SNAP benefits disbursed varies based on factors such as household size, income limits, and additional assets, with the maximum payment being $291 for a one-person household, $1,155 for a household of five, and $1,751 for a household of eight, with an additional $219 per member beyond eight.
