Extension to Taxpayers

According to an article published in GROUND NEWS, those who qualified for the rebates have until February to file their 2021 or 2022 to receive their rebates. To qualify for the rebates, residents need to have a tax liability for tax year 2021 and can be a Georgia resident, a part-year resident, or a nonresident.

Furthermore, the source of funds will come from the state’s surplus. Taxpayers in Georgia also need to meet the requirements to qualify for the rebates. On the other hand, those who did not qualify for or seek an extension needed to file their returns by April 18.
