In order to give customers more options, Geisinger will extend its individual and small group programs into Bedford County and Highmark will grow into five additional counties Delaware, Bucks, Montgomery, Philadelphia and Chester counties.

As Jefferson Health Plans enters the Southeast market, consumers in Bucks, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties will see additional health insurers selling coverage in the individual market.
Residents of the state will also have more choices for dental insurance, including new independent dental plans that are covered by UnitedHealthcare and accessible in 59 counties of Pennsylvania.
Shoppers on Pennie in Pennsylvania will be able to see these new plan choices.
Pennsylvania’s official health insurance marketplace, Pennie, allows residents to compare prices on high-quality health plans.
Pennie lowers the cost of care and coverage, and 90% of current participants are eligible.
Consumer protections are included in each health plan offered by Pennie, including coverage for pre-existing diseases.
Lower premiums may be available through Pennie for anyone who does not have health insurance through their place of employment or a government program like Medicare or Medicaid.
