An armed man identified as Adrian Paul Aispuro was taken into custody by the Los Angeles Police Department on Friday as he tried to pose as a U.S. Marshal to enter the campaign event for 2024 Democratic presidential hopeful Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
Armed Man Attempted To Approach Kennedy
In a published report by Fox News, Kennedy detailed the incident at X, formerly known as Twitter, and expressed appreciation for Gavin de Becker and Associates (GDBA) who spotted and detained the armed man who tried to approach him at his Hispanic Heritage speech at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre. Kennedy also lauded the quick response of the LAPD to capture the armed man. On a separate note, Kennedy added in his post that he is still hopeful that President Biden would grant him Secret Service protection after his request for one was previously denied.

Armed Man Impersonation Report
According to The Messenger, the armed man was reportedly wearing shoulder holsters equipped with loaded pistols and spare ammunition. In the report, the armed man allegedly claimed he was part of Kennedy’s security detail. The armed man also donned a U.S. Marshal badge on a lanyard and belt clip federal ID. As per jail records via CNN, the armed man was being held Saturday in lieu of a $35,000 bail.
