The Houston Area Women’s Center is demanding that the NBA ban Kevin Porter Jr. amid the allegations of assaulting his girlfriend. Further reports say in connection with the incident, the Houston Rockets shooting guard was arrested in New York and faced charges.
Domestic violence victim advocacy group Houston Area Women’s Center (HAWC) reportedly demanded that the National Basketball Association (NBA) ban Houston Rockets shooting guard Kevin Porter Jr., 23, amid the allegations of assaulting his girlfriend, former Women’s NBA player Kysre Gondrezick, 26.According to Thompson, the HAWC helps women, children, and families escape from domestic violence, sexual assault, and sex trafficking. Fortunately, reports say on September 11, the Houston Rockets shooting guard had already been arrested in New York City and faced charges of strangulation and assault. Furthermore, the Houston Rockets shooting guard was taken in custody since 6:45 a.m. of that day and was ordered to post cash worth $75,000 or secure a bond of $100,000 to be released.

At the Crime Scene
According to Fenner, upon arriving at the crime scene in a hotel room in New York City, police officers were reportedly informed that Gondrezick complained about the pain in her neck and was sustaining a laceration to the right side of her face.
Thereafter, a preliminary investigation of the crime scene determined that Gondrezick was struck several times upon her body and was strangled through her neck. Further reports say the Houston Rockets shooting guard already has a history of abusing his girlfriend when he was accused of intentionally driving his car into hers.
