According to Political Wire’s report, Former President George Bush recently recounted a surprising dining experience during the G8 summit in Russia where he was served by Wagner Chief Yevgeny Prigozhin, the infamous leader of the Wagner mercenary group.

Bush humorously noted that he had “survived” the meal, shedding light on an unexpected connection with Wagner Chief Yevgeny Prigonzhin from more than 15 years ago.

The Controversial Journey of Wagner Chief Yevgeny Prigozhin 

According to The Hill’s report, Former President George Bush expressed surprise upon seeing a picture from a G8 summit in St. Petersburg where Wagner Chief Yevgeny Prigozhin, who served him food, was identified as “Putin’s chef.” Despite attending the 2006 G8 Summit and previously meeting Putin in 2001, Bush humorously recalled that his main takeaway from the encounter was simply that he had “survived” the experience.

Wagner Chief Yevgeny Prigozhin, a controversial figure, was involved in various activities, including leading a mercenary group during the Ukraine war, launching a short-lived rebellion against the Kremlin, and playing a role in Russian election meddling efforts. Wagner Chief Yevgeny Prigozhin mysterious death in a plane crash, coupled with his long-standing ties to Putin, raised questions and skepticism among the Russian public.
