Harrison Floyd reportedly remained in custody without bail after recently turning himself in. Further reports say the Black Voices for Trump leader faced charges in connection with the election fraud case in Georgia.
On August 24, Black Voices for Trump leader Harrison Floyd, 39, turned himself in in connection with the election fraud case that former U.S. President Donald Trump is facing in Georgia. To date, the Black Voices for Trump leader is being held without bail at the Fulton County Jail in the city of Atlanta.According to Papp, Judge Emily Richardson denied the Black Voices for Trump leader of bail on the grounds that the defendant was deemed a flight risk and believed to commit more felonies. Reports say the Black Voices for Trump leader is facing charges of violating the Georgia RICO Act, conspiracy to commit solicitation of false statements and writings, and influencing witnesses.
Further reports say the Black Voices for Trump leader is the only co-defendant among 18 others who did not strike a bond agreement before surrendering to the authorities. In addition, the Black Voices for Trump leader also represented himself in court stating that seeking legal counsel costs a lot.
Charges Faced by Trump
According to Nerozzi, on the evening of August 24, Trump also turned himself in after being charged with 13 counts that stemmed from his attempts to overturn the 2020 Presidential Election in the state of Georgia. However, unlike the Black Voices for Trump leader, the former President was released on a $200,000 bail.
