U.S. and China tensions reflect in a recent survey as Americans support more tariffs on Chinese goods and believe military preparations against China are needed. Reports say the survey was conducted nationwide and collected responses from 1,005 adult individuals.
On August 15, a two-day Ipsos survey was concluded and thereafter revealed the concerns of Americans about the U.S. and China tensions as the East Asian country continues to become a global influence. Further reports say the survey also revealed that Americans support more tariffs to be imposed on Chinese goods and believe that military preparations against China must be strengthened.An article in Reuters states that the survey that revealed concerns about the U.S. and China tensions was conducted nationwide and collected responses from 1,005 adult individuals. Reportedly, among the respondents, 443 of them are Democrats and 346 are Republicans.
Survey Revealed Concerns About U.S. And China Tensions
According to an article from Yahoo, due to the worsening U.S. and China tensions, 66% of the respondents were more likely to support a 2024 Presidential Election candidate who will maintain additional tariffs on Chinese imports.
In addition, another 66% of the respondents, 58% of which are Democrats and 81% are Republicans, decided that the U.S. needs to strengthen its military preparations against China due to the worsening U.S. and China tensions.
