In addition, over the next 7 days, more than 100 record highs are anticipated to be set, especially in the parts of Florida, Oregon, and Texas.According to Bushard, several cities are expected to continue receiving high temperature alerts after the cities of Houston, Jacksonville, and Tampa all set record highs within the week. Further reports say cities such as Austin, Baton Rouge, and New Orleans also received high temperature alerts as they reached 100-plus degrees Fahrenheit for consecutive days.

High Temperature Alerts In Sea Surface
According to Prociv, the high temperature alerts warned that the heat may contribute to the increasing sea surface temperatures off the Florida coast which happened last July when the water reached 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
In addition, the Pacific Northwest will also have high temperature alerts that will take effect beginning August 13 until August 17. There is a high probability that the temperatures will increase into the range of 94-105 degrees Fahrenheit which will set records for 2023.
