Early on Sunday on the West Side of Chicago, a 21-year-old woman dead and eight other women wounded after a jeep approached a group of people, and sparking shooting, according to police.
Mass Shooting in Chicago West Side
According to a news release from the Chicago Police Department, the shooting in the North Lawndale area happened soon before one in the morning. Ages of the victims range from 20 to 33.
CNN report that a black Jeep approached the women as they were gathered. The report claims that many armed individuals were spotted exiting the car and starting to shoot at the crowd.
After being shot in the face, the 21-year-old was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital, where she was subsequently declared dead, according to the authorities.

It was reported that a 28-year-old lady was shot eight times in the torso and sent to the hospital in severe condition. Two of the women received grazing wounds, while five of the women had various bullet wounds to their extremities, according to Newschanne21.
Detectives are looking into it, according to the police, and no one is yet in arrest. Anyone with information on the event is urged to call police, according to the agency.
