Freshman Football Player Dies At 18 in Single-Car Crash in Tennessee

Jeremiah Collins died in a single-car crash in Nashville, Tennessee last July 21. Reports say the freshman football player drove his vehicle too fast while exiting a highway.

On July 21, authorities stated that freshman football player Jeremiah Collins, 18, of Austin Peay Governors team was involved in a single-car crash in Nashville, Tennessee. Further reports say that the freshman football player was driving his pickup truck too fast while exiting a highway.

According to Martin, the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department stated that the freshman football player’s pickup truck rolled several times before coming to a stop in a grassy area. Nonetheless, upon investigating the crash site, authorities did not discover any signs of impairment.

The freshman football player’s injuries were treated at the scene and was later transported to a local hospital. Unfortunately, the freshman football player was eventually pronounced dead.

Team Remembers Freshman Football Player

According to Straka, the freshman football player was born in Louisville where played high school football. For his senior season, he reportedly transferred to Oakland High School in the city of Murfreesboro. By 2023, the freshman football player and incoming defensive back became a three-star recruit in the Austin Peay Governors team.
