Sophia Haley Marks was arrested in connection with the suspected overdose of fentanyl that led to the death of American actor Robert De Niro’s grandson. Reports say the drug dealer transacted with Leandro De Niro Rodriguez before he was found dead.
On July 1, Sophia Haley Marks, 20, allegedly sold two alprazolam tablets and three tainted oxycodone pills to Leandro De Niro Rodriguez, American actor Robert De Niro’s grandson, 19. Nonetheless, the drug dealer apparently warned De Niro Rodriguez about the dangers of the drugs he bought.An article in Fox News states that after ingesting one of the oxycodone pills laced with fentanyl, De Niro Rodriguez was found dead of a suspected drug overdose in his apartment in Manhattan on July 2. Reports say the drug dealer texted De Niro Rodriguez on that day but received no response from him.
Nonetheless, the city medical examiner states that the cause of death of De Niro Rodriguez has not been determined yet. Further reports say between July 9 and July 13, the drug dealer sold a total of 50 oxycodone tablets laced with fentanyl to an undercover police officer.

Drug Dealer Arrested
According to Lepore, on July 13, the drug dealer was arrested in New York and appeared in a federal court in Manhattan on July 14. Reports say the drug dealer was charged with three counts of narcotics distribution. This was after a complaint accused the drug dealer to be selling counterfeit oxycodone pills containing fentanyl on three separate occasions.
