Holly Ann Elkins, 32, was accused of being an accomplice to the murder of Alyssa Ann Burkett, then 24, on October 2, 2020. Reports say Elkins was the former fiancee of Andrew Charles Beard who was the suspect in the murder of Burkett, his ex-girlfriend and the mother of his child.

According to Wehner, on September 13 that year, Beard and Elkins, his former fiancee, purchased a van. The following day, Elkins purchased makeup for Beard’s disguise. On September 19, both suspects allegedly bought a knife and shotgun shells.

When the murder took place in a parking lot, Beard put on a Blackface and shot Burkett in the head. Burkett was able to exit the vehicle she was in, but Beard stabbed her thirteen times before fleeing the crime scene. On the other hand, Beard’s former fiancee remained at his house with his child during the incident.
