Natural disasters in 2022 calendar year include severe storms, floods, and fires declared by the president. The aid for rural and tribal communities will go to damage to infrastructures caused by these natural disasters in 2022.

Director Fernandez said that disasters like these can’t be predicted, but support to affected residents can be provided. She added that the Biden-Harris Administration is committed to offering help to those affected by the natural disasters in 2022 in Arizona, the administration also sees the rural communities who are affected by climate change disproportionately.
