How Much Will Be Sent in July 2023 Social Security Checks?

In January, the SSA revealed that, due to an 8.7% increase in the cost-of-living adjustment, average retiree payments rose to approximately $1,827 this year. For the July 2023 Social Security Checks, recipients can expect to receive up to $1,800, a published article reported.

The maximum benefit for individuals retiring at age 62 is $2,572 per month, while those retiring at full retirement age (67) can expect $3,627 per month. For individuals retiring at age 70 or later, the maximum benefit is $4,555 per month.

Regarding Supplemental Security Income, the average recipient receives around $650 per month. However, the maximum monthly SSI benefit is $914 for an eligible individual and $1,371 for a married couple where both spouses qualify for the program.

July 2023 Social Security Checks Exact Mailing Dates

As per the SSA’s schedule, Supplemental Security Income payments are typically sent out on the first day of each month. Nonetheless, if the first day falls on a Saturday or Sunday, the payments are sent on the preceding Friday.

On the third of each month, the SSA sends payments to individuals who began receiving their Social Security payments before May 1997. The remaining Social Security checks are mailed out based on the beneficiary’s date of birth:

• Second Wednesday of the month: Recipients born between the 1st and 10th
• Third Wednesday: Beneficiaries born between the 11th and 20th
• Fourth Wednesday: Beneficiaries born between the 21st and 31st

Considering the aforementioned schedule, here are the precise dates when July 2023 Social Security checks will be mailed:

• July 3, 2023: Beneficiaries who started receiving payments before May 1997 will receive July 2023 Social Security checks
• July 12, 2023: Beneficiaries with a date of birth between 1 and 10 will receive July 2023 Social Security checks
• July 19, 2023: Beneficiaries with a date of birth between 11 and 20 will receive July 2023 Social Security checks
• July 26, 2023: Beneficiaries with a date of birth between 21 and 31 will receive July 2023 Social Security checks
