On Monday, an Israeli attack was carried out in the city of Jenin. The Israeli attack comes with hundreds of troops deployed and drone strikes carried out, CBS News reported.
What Caused The Israeli Attack In West Bank?
According to one of the Israeli officials, for almost two decades, the recent Israeli attack on West Bank is the largest operation in the place. Palestinian health officials confirmed that at least nine 50 Palestinians were injured and 9 were killed in the Israeli attack.
Israeli Army spokesman Lt. Col. Richard Hecht said that the operation’s goal is to confiscate or destroy weapons that belong to Palestinian militants. The attack began at 1:00 am on Monday the Jenin refugee camp which is believed to be used by Palestinian militants to plan their attacks was attacked by Israeli officials with an airstrike.
Lt. Col. Richard Hetch confirmed that more strikes were continued to make way for the Israeli ground forces who are believed to be approximately 2,000 in total. Israeli Attack In West Bank
Israeli attacks have already been done multiple times this year in the Jenin refugee camp targeting Palestinian militants. Israeli police had arrested a 16-year-old Palestinian boy who stabbed an Israeli man in the city of Bnei Brak. While the Israeli man who was stabbed was hospitalized with light to moderate injuries.
According to United Nations Palestinians Refugee Agency, the Jenin refugee camp is home to 14,000 people who were displaced during the 1848-1949 Arab-Israeli war. The Israeli attack has prompted fear in civilians living in the area.
