A pregnant woman and her husband were involved in a shootout with two armed robbers at a gas station in Texas. Reports say one of the suspects was injured, but the Texas couple was fortunately unharmed.
On June 27, at around 5 p.m., a woman who appeared to be eight months pregnant allegedly noticed two armed men exit separate vehicles. The woman was sitting in a vehicle in a parking lot of a gas station in the 8600 block of Fulton Street when she called for her husband who was inside a store.An article in Click2Houston states that the commotion happened when the two armed men approached the pregnant woman and attempted to rob her. Fortunately, the Texas couple both owned guns and thereafter exchanged gunfire with the two suspects in self-defense.

Texas Couple Shot Suspect
According to Reilly, following the shootout, the Texas couple had struck one of the suspects who was later identified as Mario Ipina Duque, 39. Duque was then transported to a hospital around the area where he is expected to survive his injuries.
To date, Duque remains hospitalized but has been charged with unlawful carry of a weapon and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. The other suspect, on the other hand, reportedly fled the crime scene in a green Charger and is still on the loose. Fortunately, the Texas couple was unharmed, with the woman expected to have her first child soon.
