IRS Whistleblower Revealed About Hunter Biden Probe

In an exclusive interview with chief investigative correspondent Jim Axelrod of CBS News, a 14-year veteran Gary Shapley of the IRS Criminal Investigation said that they are making sure as a special agent that they are treating everyone the same but unfortunately, that didn’t happen, according to him.

He revealed that he has a lot of questions about Hunter Biden probes as he allegedly believed that there was special treatment to the president’s son. He added that he was repeatedly stopped to take extra steps in other cases.

A week after David Weiss, the Trump-appointed U.S. attorney for Delaware announced a plea deal in Hunter Biden’s case, Gary Shapley’s comment came. He also told CBS News that he thought there might be stronger charges that could have been brought.

The deal was made public last week by the Justice Department, Hunter Biden’s plea deal with the U.S. attorney in Delaware is admitting to felony gun charges and guilty to two misdemeanor tax charges.

The plea also includes an acknowledgment in his gun crime that drug use was a factor, so he will enter into a pretrial diversion agreement in which he will remain drug-free and not commit any crimes for two years so that his gun charges would be dismissed.

The deal has yet to approve by a federal judge and a schedule for the hearing is set on July 26 at the federal courthouse in Wilmington.

The GOP House Ways and Means Committee chairman has released transcripts of congressional interviews with two IRS whistleblowers who questioned the U.S. attorney overseeing the case that was free to bring charges they saw fit.
