American actor Jonathan Majors was scheduled for a trial in connection with the assault and harassment charges filed against him. Reports say the “Marvel” actor appeared in court for a hearing yesterday, June 20.
On June 20, American actor Jonathan Majors appeared in a courthouse in New York for a hearing. Reports say the District Attorney’s Office of Manhattan filed assault and harassment charges to him last March.However, an article in CNN states that Jonathan Majors has denied the accusations against him related to an incident that happened in New York on March 25. Nonetheless, Judge Rachel S. Pauley scheduled a trial date for the case on August 3.
Reports say Jonathan Majors recently starred in the “Ant-Man and the Wasp” and the “Creed III”. To date, he is lined up to star in an upcoming “Marvel” movie, “Avengers: The Kang Dynasty”. In addition, the actor was also nominated for an Emmy for his role in “Lovecraft Country”.

Accusations Against Jonathan Majors
According to Sisak, Jonathan Majors was accused of hitting a woman on her face with an open hand which caused significant pain and a laceration behind the victim’s ear. Furthermore, the “Marvel” actor was also accused of choking the woman which caused bruises to her neck.
However, Priya Chaundhry, Jonathan Majors’ attorney claimed that the accusations were false. Chaundhry added that her team had provided the investigators of the District Attorney’s Office with video evidence that will allegedly acquit her client.
