As the major federal annual holiday or Memorial Day concludes on Monday, May 29, 2023, mailing services are now open and resumed operation yesterday, The U.S. Sun reported. In this article, you will discover what are the states issuing money in the next weeks.

What Are The States Issuing Money?

Americans may be eligible for these different cash rebates from different states. Be updated with these reliefs for it can help you offset high inflation rates.

Here are the States issuing money:

New Mexico, Alaska, and Georgia. These three states will be sending checks to eligible people in their states.

First is the State of New Mexico. A big tax relief that was signed into law by Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham. The big tax relief package offers residents rebates of up to $1,000.

To be eligible for the tax relief package, you must not be claimed as a dependent on taxes and must be over the age of 18. According to the Governor’s office, more than 900,000 taxpayers are waiting to receive this payment.

Payment for this tax relief package will be starting in June.

Other States Issuing Money

Second is the State of Alaska. Alaska will be sending its annual Permanent Fund Dividends from the years 2021 and 2022. This annual PFD is worth between $1,114 and $3,284. As of May 18, the latest Permanent Fund Dividends were sent out to applicants whose application status marked eligible-not paid.

Take note that it could take weeks to arrive if you’re receiving a paper check after the issue date.

The third and last State issuing money is Georgia. The State of Georgia sends out income tax refunds up to $500 which is now in the middle of sending it to eligible residents.

The income tax refunds started released on May 1.

You will expect your money by the end of June, if you file your 2021 and 2022 tax returns by the deadline last April 18.
