Do you want to adjust the credit card due date to match your payday schedule? Don’t worry, we will help you keep up with bills by simplifying your monthly payments.

Here’s how to change your payment due date according to The Ascent;

To change your payment due date, first, call your credit card, you can typically find the number on the back of your credit card. A customer representative will answer your call and you can ask them to move your due date. Your request may be affected by; your credit card company’s policy, your desired due date, and your credit history.

Most likely, credit card companies will approve your request if you have records of paying bills if you request to move your due date to a weekday. On the other hand, some companies disallow this. You will finish this process in just 5 minutes.

Another way to change your payment date is through your card issuer’s mobile app.  This process is straightforward, but other companies like Chase may not apply the change until your next billing. In a case like this, a payment date change may or will not help you pay anything you have due right now.

When your bills are due, there are two reasons you need to change, simplicity and flexibility.

Naturally speaking, cardholders who are paid multiple times per month can benefit from staggering payments. While cardholders who are paid once a month, benefit from combining deadlines.

For example, you have staggered payments on the 15th, 26th, and 30th. This strategy may help you make timely payments. If you got paid four times a month, and you are tempted to spend any money, don’t put toward credit card payments on nonessentials, food, and books.
