A former teacher with a history of statutory sex offense was found again with two juvenile students after a car crash on Saturday.
Charges Against the Former Science Teacher
Elizabeth Bailey, 37 years old, was a former science teacher at Northview Academy. She had a history of statutory rape against a student. Bailey was also initially charged with the following:
- statutory rape of a person who is 15 years old or younger
- felony indecent liberties with a minor
- felony sexual activity with a student
In a published article in TRUE CRIME DAILY, she was released on a $75,000 bond and was put on electronic house arrest. Additionally, she was also ordered not to have any contact with the student involved in the case.
However, it was found that the juvenile had been to Bailey’s house on nine occasions since her time of arrest in August 2022. This led to her arrest again and was charged with the following in September 2022:
- nine counts of misdemeanor contributing to the delinquency of a minor
- nine counts of felony intimidating or interfering with a state witness

Bailey Was Found Again with Juveniles After a Car Crash
According to a report published in WBTV, the Iredell County Office Sheriff’s Office confirmed that they responded to a car crash at the 700 block of Mocksville Highway. When they arrived at the scene, the two juveniles already fled and they saw Bailey in the passenger’s seat.
Bailey admitted that she was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident. The deputies also found that Bailey has a history of statutory rape.
After learning this, the Sheriff’s Office Aggressive Criminal Enforcement Team responded to Bailey’s home and took her in custody because they learned that she was under court order to stay away from one of the juveniles she was with in the vehicle when the accident happened.
