A New Mexico shooting happened last Tuesday. An 18-year-old allegedly killed 3 elderly women during the shooting while the shooter died, People.com reported.

The latest New Mexico shooting has left the community in shock as authorities identified the 3 dead as elderly women.
Police confirmed on Tuesday that Melodi Ivie, 73, Gwendolyn Schofield, 97, and Shirly Volta, 79, died while peacefully driving through a Farmington, New Mexico neighborhood.
Schofield is the mother of Ivie who was a preschool teacher and was both in the same vehicle when they were fatally shot.
Police confirmed that this shooting turned out to be “purely random”, and no particular link has been known between the victims and the shooter.

New Mexico Shooting, A “Tragic Event”!
Deputy Chief Kyle Dowdy said that the shooting is a tragic event and the killing of 2 innocent elderly women is a complete tragedy as they have no position to defend themselves.
Police said after receiving more than 10 calls about the shooting, they responded to the scene, and the gunman was confronted and killed and was identified as an 18-year-old student at Farmington High School.
Four other people and two responding officers have suffered gunshot wounds and are now recovering.
The shooter and the police had exchanged more than 100 rounds. The gunman has fired from at least three legally obtained weapons.
