Who Is Nauman Hussain?

Nauman Hussain who ran Pristige Limousine, was charged  with second-degree manslaughter and criminally negligent homicide. Hussain was the one who is responsible for the deaths of 20 people last 2018 with a stretch SUV limousine in New York. Prosecutors told that the brakes failed to stop the vehicle as it went off the road and crash parked car and tress.

Seventeen passengers including the driver and two bystanders died in the crash. The defense lawyer Lee Kindlon blamed the crash to a repair shop that Nauman Hussain routinely used, the Mavis Discount Tires.

Nauman Hussain believes that he had repaired the brake system and the brakes were doing fine.

Before the deliberations of the case, Nauman Hussain’s lawyer said that Hussain tried his best to maintain and repair the stretch limo. Jurors was asked and decided whether Nauman Hussain is guilty of any charges.

On Tuesday, the jurors deliberated for under two hours and were due to continue on Wednesday morning.

Nauman Hussain Failed to Follow Maintenance Regulations

Mavis Discount Tires lawyers denies that the shop is at fault, but was sued by the families of the victims.

Fredrick Rench, a special prosecutor, said that Hussan intentionally failed to follow maintenance regulations for the 2001 Ford Excursion. Rennch argued that if Nauman Hussain had done state vehicle inspections routinely, it would’ve revealed brake defects.

After a judge threw out a plea deal last fall, the trial comes and would have spared Hussain prison time.
