A judge in Maryland sentenced a cheerleading coach from Virginia for sexually abusing a 14-year-old student.
Cheerleading Coach Convicted of Sexual Abuse
Worcester County Circuit Court Judge Beau H. Oglesby released his verdict against the 32-year-old Alexander Wu, a cheerleading coach, for sexually abusing a 14-year-old student. The cheerleading coach is sentenced to face 25 years imprisonment with all but 10 years of the sentence suspended.
In a published report in FOX News, the judge also sentenced him to five years of supervised probation. Likewise, he also needed to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life. From a court document obtained by a news outlet, it was also stated that there will be no unsupervised contact with children.

Worcester County State County Released a Statement
Kristin Heiser, Worcester County State’s County Attorney, released a statement during a press conference. Heiser said that the sexual abuse complaint was originally reported to Montgomery County, Maryland, authorities. She also revealed that the abuse happened in several areas.
According to a report in WMDT, Heiser also mentioned during the press conference that the 14-year-old student at that time told the investigators that she was sexually abused by her cheerleading coach.
Meanwhile, the state attorney’s office praised and thanked the law enforcement agencies that helped to solve this criminal act and the Cricket Center.
