Marine Veteran Put Jordan Neely Into Deadly Chokehold On Subway

A video of a homeless man who died in the NYC subway after he was held in a chokehold by a marine veteran has drawn national attention. On Monday, the individual who died in subways was identified as Jordan Neely an impersonator of Michael Jackson on NYC streets that entertained several people, according to a news report on CNN.

Moreover,  a statement from Raiser and Kenniff, P.C., the law firm expressed condolences to Neely’s family and added that Daniel Penny 24-year-old U.S. Marine veteran and college student never intend to harm Neely and did not expect that he will die due to that.

Neely began aggressively threatening the passengers on the northbound F train and Daniel together with others acted to protect themselves until police arrived, according to the statements as per ABC 7.

The statement went on to say that they hope that that unfortunate tragedy will be a lesson to the elected officials to address the mental health crisis as a top priority in the streets of America.

No Charges Against The Marine Veteran Have Been Announced

The Manhattan District Attorney’s Office is still investigating the fatal incident that occurred on NYC subways and there is no charges have been announced against the marine veteran.

Daniel Penny is a marine veteran who is in college right now and was formerly awarded seven medals because served as an infantry squad leader and instructor of water survival for the Marines between 2017 and 2021, according to his LinkedIn page, and was looking for a bartending job in Manhattan before the incident.
