Young Bride Dies Just Hours After Her Wedding in Folly Beach, South Carolina

A young bride died while her groom is still in serious condition after a drunk woman crashed her rented car into the golf cart carrying the couple.

Young Bride Died Just Hours After Her Wedding

A supposed to be happy occasion for the newlywed ended up in a tragic event. Young bride Samantha Hutchinson died while the groom, Aric Hutchinson, is still in a serious condition after a drunk woman crashed her rented car into the golf cart carrying the newlywed.

In a published article in TRUE CRIME DAILY, the incident happened on April 28 around 10:16 in the evening, according to an affidavit obtained by a news outlet. The Folly Beach Police officers responded immediately to the scene and found Samantha Hutchinson, the young bride, without a pulse.

Meanwhile, her husband Aric Hutchinson is still in a serious condition. He suffered broken bones, and brain injury, and had one reconstruction surgery. Additionally, two other relatives,  who were in the golf cart, also suffered injuries but it is not clear if those were life-threatening.

The Driver of the Rented Car was Arrested

Police authorities identified the driver of the car as Jamie Komoroski, 25 years old, and she was allegedly drunk when the car crash happened. An officer noted “she had “an odor of alcohol coming from her breath and person.” They also confirmed that Komoroski did not suffer any injuries.

CNN News reports that Komoroski admitted through an affidavit that she consumed a beer and a tequila one hour before the tragic accident happened. However, she strongly refused to take a sobriety test.

Furthermore, she was later booked into the Charleston County Jail on three counts of felony DUI. Needless to say, she was also put under suicide watch because she repeatedly said that she wanted to die.
