Magazine columnist E. Jean Carroll, 79, admitted to a federal civil court jury that she was a part of the “silent generation” who were conditioned to keep quiet and not complain about rape. Recently, however, Carroll accused former U.S. President Donald Trump of rape in a department store’s dressing room twenty years before he was elected president.An article in Los Angeles Times states that E. Jean Carroll testified when Joe Tacopina, Trump’s lawyer, cross-examined her on why she did not report to the authorities about the alleged rape. Carroll answered that at that time, she was ashamed of the alleged rape and was aware of Trump’s connections and power in New York.

E. Jean Carroll Filed Lawsuit
According to an article in Yahoo News, on May 1, E. Jean Carroll concluded her testimonies in the trial for the lawsuit she filed against Trump. Today, March 2, the trial is scheduled to continue with witnesses on her behalf. On the contrary, Trump did not attend the trial because of his trip to Scotland to launch a golf course at his resort near the city of Aberdeen. Nonetheless, the jurors are expecting to watch parts of a recording of the former President who answered some questions under oath.
