If you want to claim a part of this Facebook privacy settlement, you should file and fill out a claim on a website that Meta has provided. You will be assessed whether you deleted your Facebook account or not because those users who have had their account for longer periods may claim a bigger amount.

Amount of Claims For Every User on Facebook Privacy Settlement!
Eligible Facebook users can only file their claim before Aug 25, 2023. It cannot be determined easily how much Facebook users will get because the amount will be depending on the number of users who will file for the claim. On the other hand, lawyers in the case would likely be rewarded up to 25%, amounting to $181 Million, which leaves only $543.7 Million for eligible users who will file a part of their claim of the settlement.
Meta’s website emphasized that users will not receive their claim until after the final approval hearing of the settlement which will happen on Sep. 7. There might be also appeals after the settlement gets final and last approval.
The settlement lawsuit is rooted in accusations that the company has shared the data of users with third-party firms including Cambridge Analytica. Last 2018, it was revealed that the firm paid an app developer for the Facebook company to have access to its user’s data.
Overall, Americans may claim a part of the $725 Million Facebook privacy settlement this year. If you want to claim a part of this Facebook privacy settlement, you should file and fill out a claim on a website that Meta has provided.
